Fun Times at the Annual @SCBWICarolinas Conference

I went to my first SCBWI Conference this weekend … with my friend (and illustrator) Monica Wyrick. We absorbed a ton of great advice on the writing process, what editors and publishers are looking for, and cemented the knowledge that I do, in fact, need to find an agent. I was excited for Peggy Noodle, Hula Hoop Queen to be included in the conference bookstore, alongside some truly wonderful authors and their stories. Hopefully, when I go next year, I may have two or even three books to share with the crowd!
